There are seven distinct disorders that center around feeling anxious in different scenarios. Learn more about each of the following disorders we treat and their main characteristics below:

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Worry consumes your thoughts about everyday activities, such as work, family responsibilities, and basic errands. 
• Panic Disorder: You are prone to panic attacks that involve intense psychological stress, culminating in a physical reaction. Common symptoms include swearing, rapid heart rate, dizziness, and chest pains. 
• Phobias: You have a phobia if you harbor an excessive fear of a specific, usually harmless, object or activity. This fear causes significant distress that you can’t overcome. 
• Agoraphobia: This specific phobia relates to the fear of public situations that are difficult to escape. You may even find it difficult to leave your house if you have severe agoraphobia.
• Social Anxiety Disorder: Avoiding social interactions out of fear of embarrassment or rejection is common among those with this disorder. 
• Separation Anxiety Disorder: Most common in children, this disorder makes it hard to cope when separated from those you feel closely attached to, such as a parent.
• Selective Mutism: Children frequently live with this disorder, which causes them to go silent in social situations but verbally communicate within their homes.
