Inner Voyage Recovery Center in Atlanta provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) designed to deliver targeted care for individuals on their recovery journey. Our program includes daily treatment sessions aimed at equipping participants with the skills necessary to prevent relapse and enhance both their physical and mental well-being.

Additionally, we now offer an evening IOP option, making our comprehensive care accessible to those with daytime commitments. Our evening IOP is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6-9pm.

What is an Evening Intensive Outpatient Program?

In Atlanta, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) represents a versatile option within the three-tier spectrum of outpatient care, striking a balance between the intensive support offered by partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and the flexibility of traditional outpatient programs (OP). This level of care allows individuals more freedom compared to inpatient or residential care, which necessitates residing at the treatment facility.

Participants in the IOP engage in treatment sessions during the day, maintaining the ability to return to their personal homes or sober living facilities at night. This program is ideal for transitioning from a residential program or as an alternative to residential care for those who need a less restrictive schedule. Adding to this flexibility, we now offer an Evening IOP option available on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6-9pm, catering to those with daytime commitments who still require a structured treatment environment.

Who is a Good Candidate for evening IOP?

The ideal candidate for our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is someone who navigates a busy daily schedule, balancing work and school commitments, yet seeks effective treatment during the evening. Our IOP is designed for individuals who don’t require the continuous supervision provided by residential care but still need a structured treatment approach beyond what standard outpatient programs offer.

This program is especially suited for those who have either completed more intensive care like Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP) or for whom PHP is not a necessity. It’s an excellent option for individuals with a stable living situation, whether that’s a supportive home environment or residing in a sober living facility while participating in IOP sessions.

Our IOP is tailored for those looking to integrate their recovery journey with their daily responsibilities, offering treatment sessions in the evening. This makes it an ideal choice for individuals who are committed to their recovery but also need to attend to work, educational pursuits, and family obligations during the day.

Benefits of Our Evening Intensive Outpatient Program in Atlanta

One of the biggest benefits of our intensive outpatient program in involves our amazing, dedicated staff. Each person who comes to us receives care from experts in the field of addiction. We treat each person as an individual and design their treatment program to fit their specific needs. We understand the need to feel safe, respected, and cared for when going through treatment. For this reason, our staff strives to make everyone feel comfortable while attending IOP.

While residential programs work well for those who need to live away from home, they are not for everyone. Another benefit of our IOP plan is that it allows people to still live at home while getting well. A person can attend several sessions a week while still returning home at the end of the day. This helps people maintain employment, attend school, and meet responsibilities in their personal lives.

All of our patients will take part in individual and group therapy sessions that address the underlying root of their addiction and the ways that they can address it. While we encourage a sense of community between our patients, we also know that each patient struggles with different issues, so we focus on individual treatment.
