Morning Evaluation and Check In
Each day begins with a check-in, during which clients review symptoms, progress, and any concerns with staff. This helps professionals assess risk, monitor changes, and provide support when needed. Beginning the day with an evaluation allows the team to adapt programming as necessary.
Group Therapy and Group Sessions
Group therapy is a central part of our partial hospitalization program PHP model. These group sessions help clients learn from one another, build trust, and receive support from peers who understand their experiences. Groups may focus on emotional regulation, addiction recovery, relapse prevention, mental illness education, stress management, or relationship dynamics.
Individual Counseling and Treatment Planning
Clients meet with their therapist regularly for individual counseling. These sessions offer a private space to explore trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or personal barriers that prevent progress. The therapist and client work together to adjust treatment goals and review progress throughout the week.
Evidence-Based Treatment and Skill Building
Clients participate in cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed treatment, and other evidence-based interventions tailored to their individual needs. Skill-building sessions teach people how to manage triggers, cope with emotional distress, and improve daily functioning. These tools become essential for long-term stability.
Medication Management and Psychiatric Support
Many adults in PHP benefit from medication management to address anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma symptoms, or other mental health conditions. Our psychiatric providers review medications, monitor response, and make adjustments that support emotional balance and symptom reduction.
Education and Life Skills Training
Education plays a powerful role in healing. Clients learn about the relationship between mental illness and substance use, how the brain responds to stress, and how to navigate daily life without relying on substances. Life skills training reinforces healthy habits, social skills, and emotional awareness.
Afternoon Review and Daily Wrap Up
The day ends with a closing review where clients reflect on their progress and identify areas to focus on at home. This helps individuals return to their personal environments feeling more grounded and prepared.
